Custom Hand-Painted Pichwai Canvas Art
I create hand-painted Pichwai art inspired by the 400-year-old Nathdwara tradition, bringing the serene beauty of Shrinathji, sacred cows, and lotus motifs into your home.
A complete Pichwai scene showing Shrinathji with his devotees and cows. This type of large, detailed canvas tells a story and is a classic example of Nathdwara art.
This is a canvas painting of Shrinathji, based on the divine image from the temple in Nathdwara. I have added some decorative elements to create a unique piece for a devotee's home.
Here I am holding a large, completed canvas of Shrinathji's face. The dark background makes the calm and divine expression of the deity stand out.
A closer look at the fine details and 'baariki kaam' on the Shrinathji painting. Every pattern on the crown and the jewelry is painted carefully by hand.
This video shows my process of painting a modern Pichwai canvas featuring a mother cow with her calf. I use acrylic colors on canvas, which I ship rolled for easy framing.
A work-in-progress video of a Pichwai cow painting. You can see how I build the layers, from the base colors to the fine lines and traditional motifs.
The process of creating a traditional Shrinathji painting. It starts with a simple drawing and slowly comes to life with colors, details, and devotion.
About this collection
Please keep in mind that I ship all my canvases rolled in a sturdy PVC pipe, which makes delivery safer for the artwork. Because I send them rolled, you will need to take the canvas to a local framer to have it stretched or framed according to the specific size and decor of your room.
Pichwai art is a 400-year-old tradition from Nathdwara, Rajasthan, originally meant to hang behind the deity in temples. My work focuses on capturing that spiritual, serene vibe on canvas for modern homes. Whether it is a classic depiction of Shrinathji or intricate nature themes like cows and lotuses, every piece involves "baariki kaam"—the minute, detailed work that defines this style.
My Approach to Your Art
I use high-quality acrylics on cotton canvas. Because I value precision, I typically need about 15 days for a traditional piece to ensure every pattern and jewelry detail is finished correctly. During this time, I will share progress updates with you so you are part of the process from a blank canvas to the final piece.
How We Can Customize
You can share a reference image, a photo of your mandir space, or simply tell me the colors you love. I can adapt the classic Pichwai style for your living room, or keep it strictly traditional for your pooja ghar. Whether you want a large, bold piece or something intimate, I will paint it to fit your requirements.
