Fluffy, elegant, and perfectly structured. My signature 'gundu' pleats add the volume and grace every saree deserves, keeping your look flawless from the first photo to the last dance.

It's all in the pleats. This collage shows my signature fluffy pleats from multiple angles, highlighting their volume and perfect alignment.

The fluffier, the finer. A close-up of the voluminous pleats on a rich purple and yellow silk saree, creating a truly royal look.

A demonstration of how I adjust the final pleats to ensure they are even and fall perfectly to the floor. This is the final touch for a flawless finish.

A detailed look at the crisp, fan-like structure of my pre-pleated sarees. This is the result of meticulous hand-pleating and ironing.

A close-up of the side pleats, held in place by a traditional 'vaddanam' or waist belt. The pleats are sculpted to create a beautiful curve at the hip.

Stately, oversized drapes create a grand and elegant statement. This is a perfect example of how voluminous pleats can elevate the entire look.

About My Signature 'Gundu' Pleats

Achieving that rich, voluminous look isn't just about folding; it's about fabric memory and tension. Whether you are wearing a heavy Kanjeevaram or a flowy chiffon, I adjust the pleat width and iron setting to ensure they stay fluffy and crisp, not flat or crushed. This is the difference between a standard drape and one that actually makes a statement.

The Secret to the Perfect Pleat

Many people think a great saree drape is just about wrapping the cloth around, but it is really about the engineering underneath. My 'gundu' (fluffy) pleats are designed to give your saree a rich, full-bodied look that doesn't sag by the end of the day.

When I work with heavy silks like Kanjeevaram, Banarasi, or Paithani, the fabric has its own weight. If the pleats are too tight, they look stiff. If they are too loose, they lose shape. I use a specific ironing technique to 'set' the pleats before you even wear the saree. This ensures that even if you are moving, sitting, or dancing, the volume stays put.

Why Volume Matters

Volume in a saree drape does more than just look good; it creates a balanced silhouette.

  • Side Sculpting: I use specific tucking and pinning techniques at the hip to create a slimming curve, which balances out the volume of the pleats.
  • The 'Blind' Pinning Technique: No one wants to see safety pins. I use high-quality, rust-proof pins placed in a way that they hold the structure securely without being visible, even on lighter fabrics.
  • Fabric-Specific Handling: Chiffon behaves differently than cotton. I treat every fabric with a different approach to ensure it sits perfectly on your frame.

If you have an event in Bengaluru and want to move confidently without worrying about your saree unraveling, let's talk. I make sure you get the look you want, exactly the way you imagined it.
