We design living and dining spaces to be more than just furniture layouts. They are peaceful retreats built with natural light, textured materials, and room for your art.

A closer look at the art-filled dining space in our Collectors House. The custom terrazzo and teak dining table is surrounded by classic chairs, with a gallery wall and a unique sculptural piece adding layers of personality.

This dining area in our Multilevel House is designed for six. The custom hexagonal dining table and caned chairs sit under a high ceiling with exposed beams, creating an airy and spacious atmosphere for meals.

We create small, interesting moments throughout a home. This corner in the Ved House, with its comfortable wingback chair and indoor plant, becomes a perfect spot for reading and quiet contemplation.

The living room of the Pink Marble House is a curated collection of art, objects, and textures. A pink marble coffee table, grey sofa, and natural wood elements come together to create a sophisticated yet comfortable family space.

About Social Sanctuaries: Living & Dining

When we plan your living and dining areas, we focus on sightlines and flow. By using split-level transitions and open layouts, we connect your dining space to the rest of the home, making even standard apartments feel expansive. It is about crafting a quiet backdrop where your art and objects can breathe, rather than cluttering the room.

In a city as busy as Mumbai, the living and dining room should not just be a space for hosting guests. It should be a pause button. We approach these areas by removing visual noise and replacing it with raw, honest materials.

The Sanctuary Philosophy

Our goal is to create flow without shutting off areas. We use techniques like subtle split-levels or glass partitions to distinguish your dining zone from your lounge without losing the sense of airiness. This ensures your home feels connected, not segmented.

Materiality and Light

We prioritize texture over color. Whether it is a lime-plaster wall that catches the late afternoon sun or a custom teak dining table that centers the room, every choice is deliberate. We believe in high-grade Indian marble and textured stone because they age gracefully and bring a sense of permanence to the space.

A Home for Your Objects

We design with the understanding that a home is defined by what you collect. Your walls become a gallery, and our architectural lighting is planned specifically to highlight these pieces. If you have art, travel memories, or specific objects you value, we build the space around them, ensuring they have the presence they deserve.

Practical Mumbai Living

We understand the constraints of city apartments. From integrating hidden storage for everyday clutter to maximizing natural light, our designs are practical solutions for modern living. We build homes that are easy to maintain, quiet, and reflective of your personal rhythm.
