Most people see the space under their stairs as a dark, awkward corner. We see it as a chance to bring nature indoors, using clever lighting and greenery that thrives without natural sunlight.

This video highlights our process for creating an under-stair garden. From an empty space to a fully assembled feature, we meticulously place each element, including tall faux bamboo, leafy bushes, and spot lighting, to achieve a dramatic and polished result.

In just three days, we turned this empty basement corner into a vibrant garden. This before-and-after reel shows how we use a mix of artificial foliage, rocks, and lighting to add depth and life, proving that no space is too challenging to beautify.

About Under-Stair Sanctuaries

We do not just dump plants in a corner. Because under-stair areas are often light-starved, we use a 'dry garden' method. We combine high-density artificial turf with polished white dolomite pebbles and warm-white LED uplighters, ensuring your space looks lush and clean without needing mud or constant maintenance.

We turned this unused space under a staircase into a beautiful indoor garden. Using a bed of white pebbles and a variety of artificial plants with large leaves, we created a focal point that is both elegant and maintenance-free.8

An incredible "After" shot. We transformed this empty, dark stairwell in a Vrindavan residence into a stunning green feature with a lifelike artificial Ficus tree and a bed of faux grass.11
The "Before" shot of the stairwell. It was a challenging, dark space where no real plant could survive, making it the perfect candidate for one of our artificial installations.

For events and commercial spaces, I create large-scale backdrops. This is a massive vertical garden wall with a geometric two-tone green pattern, installed as a stage background in a warehouse.

We transformed the often-overlooked space under a staircase into a serene focal point. This design uses a bed of white pebbles, elegant lanterns, and a curated selection of plants to create a hidden gem in the home.41
A clean, minimalist staircase is beautifully accented with built-in planters. The lush green foliage of the Areca Palms and other plants adds a touch of organic softness to the modern architecture.
We selected these large, ornate planters to complement the client's luxurious and eclectic decor. The tall, lush plants add vertical interest and a touch of nature to this vibrant living room.

This vertical garden is made from a wooden slat structure with integrated planter boxes. It's a modular and stylish way to display a variety of plants at different heights, creating a living wall of art.7
To create a dramatic effect at night, I designed this wooden pallet-style wall planter with hidden LED backlighting. The warm glow highlights the plants and turns the wall into a stunning feature after dark.
This wooden structure acts as both a room partition and a vertical garden. The open slats maintain a sense of space, while the built-in shelves are perfect for displaying a collection of small potted plants.
A simple wooden trellis can completely transform a plain pillar or wall. Here, I've used an expandable trellis intertwined with faux ivy and fairy lights to create a charming and whimsical green feature.
