I specialize in capturing the fine details of handcrafted jewelry. My approach blends creative styling with specific macro techniques to ensure your pieces—from traditional earrings to modern pendants—tell a unique, visual story.

About Jewelry: The Art of Adornment
When photographing intricate jewelry, the biggest challenge is maintaining depth without relying on harsh lighting that ruins the mood. For my jewelry shoots, I use focus stacking, where I merge 5 to 10 exposures into one final frame. This ensures every gemstone and metal detail remains razor-sharp from front to back, all while preserving the soft, romantic lighting and textured styling that makes your collection feel special.
Great jewelry photography is not just about the object; it is about the emotion the piece is designed to evoke. Whether it is the weight of oxidized silver or the delicate sparkle of a polki set, I focus on styling that complements the piece rather than distracting from it.
My Approach to Jewelry Styling
I treat every shoot as a conversation between the jewelry and the lens. I use organic props like raw silk, wooden textures, and floral accents to ground the jewelry in a tangible, luxurious setting. The goal is to move away from flat, clinical e-commerce shots and move toward imagery that makes the viewer feel the texture and quality of your work.
Technical Precision
Jewelry is notoriously difficult to shoot because of reflections and depth of field. I rely on:
- Macro Setup: Using specialized lenses to eliminate unwanted glares on gold, silver, or glass surfaces.
- Focus Stacking: Essential for macro photography. This technique allows me to keep the entire piece in sharp focus, which is vital when you are zooming in on a complex pendant or a delicate pair of earrings.
- Retouching: Post-production is where I polish the final result. I carefully remove micro-scratches, dust, and distracting studio reflections, ensuring the gold, rose gold, or silver tones look exactly as they do in person.
