Behind the Scenes: My Marathi Bridal Styling Process
Peek behind the curtain at my creative process. From the first skin prep to the final traditional drape, I make sure you look stunning and feel completely relaxed. ✨
A quiet moment of focus while I work. Believing in yourself is the first step, and my goal is to make every bride feel confident and beautiful from the inside out.
The magic of transformation. This video shows the journey from a fresh face to a fully decked-out bride, ready for her big day.
A simple before and after that shows the power of makeup. I enhanced her features with purple eyeshadow and a bold lip to match her beautiful saree.
A glimpse into my process of creating the perfect smokey eye. Every detail matters when crafting a look that will be remembered forever.
The final touches are just as important as the first. Here, I am making sure every piece of jewelry and every detail of the makeup is perfect before the bride steps out.
About Behind the Scenes: My Art in Action
The chaos of a wedding day is real, but in my chair, it is calm. I start with detailed skin prep—often with sheet masks—before the first stroke of foundation. Whether it is securing the pins for a complex Nauvari saree so the pleats hold for 6+ hours or ensuring your heavy jewelry is pinned perfectly, I am hands-on so you can actually relax.
When you see the final bridal look, it is easy to forget the steps that got us there. My work is not just about the final photograph, it is about the technique that ensures you look fresh from your morning Vidhi to your evening reception.
My Technical Approach
- Sweat-Proofing for Mumbai: I use professional-grade products like MAC, Huda Beauty, or Kryolan. In our humidity, this is non-negotiable for a look that lasts.
- Complex Draping: Whether it is a traditional 9-yard Nauvari or a heavy designer lehenga, my draping technique involves heavy-duty pinning. You will not have to worry about a loose pallu while you are on the dance floor.
- The Khopa Bun: Styling your hair with fresh flowers is a tradition I hold close. I use hair padding and volume-adding tools to ensure the hairstyle stays secure, even with heavy accessories like a Mundavalya or Nath.
Why the Process Matters
I believe in 'Yeh karke dikhao'—the skill behind the art. For me, creating that authentic 'Marathmola saaj' requires patience and precision. I spend time during our consultation planning your distinct looks so that if you have an engagement, haldi, and wedding, you never repeat the same style. I handle the styling, the hair, and the saree, ensuring a seamless experience where you do not need to juggle multiple vendors. You just focus on the 'Paizananch vajana' and the celebration, while I make sure your 'Marathi saundarya' shines through.
