Being a dermatologist is my profession, but becoming a mom changed how I see skin health. Here is a glimpse into the life behind the clinical practice.

Welcoming our son was the most incredible moment. The journey of parenthood is full of trial and error, but every day is worth it. This experience has given me a new level of empathy for my patients who are also mothers.

My husband and our son. Becoming a family of three has been a beautiful, challenging, and rewarding experience that has profoundly shaped both my personal and professional life.

Another precious moment with my husband and our newborn. These moments remind me of the importance of family and the journey we are all on.

I am proud to be a woman in dermatology. This photo was taken to celebrate International Women's Day and to reflect on the incredible contributions of women in my field.

Celebrating with the amazing women who are the backbone of my clinic. A great team is essential to providing the best patient care, and I am so grateful for them.

Teamwork makes the dream work. Here we are, celebrating together in the clinic. It's moments like these that build a supportive and positive environment for both our staff and our patients.

A quick photo with my dietician, Sakshatha, and our clinic manager, Nikitha. I believe in a holistic approach to skin health, and collaborating with other professionals is a key part of that.

Attending a continuing medical education event with my fellow dermatologists. Staying updated with the latest research and techniques is a commitment I make to my patients.

A selfie with a colleague at a medical conference. These events are a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and share knowledge with peers in the dermatology community.

Posing with a fellow dermatologist. Building a strong professional network helps us all grow and provide better care through shared experiences and insights.

About My Journey as a Doctor and Mom

People often ask if my skincare concerns changed after having a baby. They absolutely did—not because I stopped relying on clinical data, but because I finally understood the exhaustion, the time constraints, and the hormonal reality of postpartum skin changes like melasma and acne firsthand.

I often say that being a dermatologist is my profession, but being a mother is my biggest practical lesson. When I talk about managing hormonal acne during pregnancy or dealing with the 'mask of pregnancy'—also known as melasma—I am not just quoting textbooks or research papers. I am speaking from the experience of seeing those changes in my own mirror.

My practice in HSR Layout is built on this foundation: evidence-based treatments that actually fit into a busy life. Whether we are discussing pregnancy-safe ingredient audits or postpartum microneedling, my goal is to guide you through the confusion with clarity.

You will find that I do not offer magic fixes or overnight results. Skincare is a slow, methodical process that requires patience. Instead, I focus on what works, what is safe for you and your baby, and how to maintain healthy skin through different life stages. My team and I are dedicated to providing a supportive, medically sound environment where you can ask questions without feeling overwhelmed.
