Cohesive Living and Dining Spaces
We design living areas that blend comfort with character. Using warm wood, gentle curves, and natural textures, we create spaces where your family can gather and truly relax.
The living space in our 'Malhar' project is centered around a traditional Indian swing. The sleek veneered TV unit and textured half-wall create a contemporary classical feel, completed by rattan chairs.
In the 'Palaash' living area, a veneered rattan-blend TV unit serves as both a functional and sculptural element. Its dual-access frame opens to the living space on one side and the entryway on the other.
The living area in 'Cover me in Sunshine' features a theme of curves and straight lines. The TV and curio unit echoes the arched entryways, while ceiling rafters add strong character to the space.
This cozy dining nook in our 'Palaash' project features a custom curved wall with built-in seating. The bold tribal-print upholstery is paired with a solid teak wood dining table.
The 'Vasudhalayah' dining area features a live-edge table anchored by an intricately carved wooden ceiling panel. The space is flanked by two crockery units and features a bay window seating nook.
A corner of the 'Footloose' studio apartment, where a custom wooden ledge runs along the wall, serving as a console table and connecting the living area to the rest of the open-plan space.
A wider view of the 'Malhar' living and dining space, showing the custom swing, full-height crockery unit, and a breakfast counter. Exposed ceiling rafters lend a charming cottage feel.
Another view of the 'Malhar' living room, highlighting the custom wooden swing with cane weaving, paired with matching chairs and a glass-topped coffee table.

The passage leading to the 'Palaash' dining area features this sleek console table. Its unique angular leg is fixed to the wall for balance, showcasing our attention to creative engineering.
About Spaces for Living and Gathering
In our living and dining projects, we rely on unifying motifs—like arched entryways or structural paneling—to create flow in open-plan apartments. You will notice this in how we blend the TV console with the surrounding storage or how the built-in dining bench connects to the living area, ensuring your home feels like one continuous, breathable space rather than a collection of disjointed rooms.
Our Approach to Shared Spaces
For us, the living and dining areas are the heartbeat of the home. When we design these zones, our goal is to eliminate the clutter that often comes with standard apartment layouts. We focus on Indo-modern design, which means we bring together traditional Indian elements—like cane weaving, solid teak wood, and warm veneers—with clean, modern lines.
Design Details That Matter
- Unifying Themes: To avoid a disjointed look in open-plan homes, we often introduce a single visual language. If we use an arch in the TV unit, we echo that shape in the crockery cabinet or the entryway passage. This creates a rhythm that guides the eye through the space.
- Custom Joinery: We rarely rely on off-the-shelf furniture. By building custom TV consoles and dining benches, we can hide the unsightly bits—like messy wires or everyday storage—while highlighting the features you love. Whether it is a floating unit to keep the floor looking spacious or a built-in seat that doubles as storage, every choice serves a purpose.
- Natural Materials: We love using materials that age gracefully. Rattan, fluted glass, and natural wood grain bring a tactile, earthy quality to a room. These materials feel soft to the touch and help dampen sound, making the space feel more like a home and less like a showroom.
Why This Works
Most modern Bengaluru homes have an open floor plan. While practical, this can sometimes make it hard to define areas for different activities. We use furniture placement, ceiling rafters, and consistent material palettes to create clear zones for dining, lounging, and conversation, all without closing off the space. The result is a room that feels open, airy, and deeply personal.
