About Real Gyan: Pro Hair Care Tips
Most people think front hair grows faster than the hair at the back, but that is just a trick of the mirror. In our salon, we focus on the biology, not the myths. Whether it is choosing the right heat protection or prepping your hair for a swim, these are the small, daily habits that actually stop your hair from breaking and help you maintain that look long after you leave our chair.
Your Daily Hair Survival Kit
We see so many clients making the same mistakes with their hair routine, often because they listened to advice that just does not hold up. Here is the reality check for your hair care:
The 'Growth' Myth Your hair grows at roughly the same rate all over your head, about 1.25 cm per month. Because you see the front of your head every time you look in the mirror, you notice the growth there immediately. The back of your head is out of sight, so it feels slower. Do not stress about uneven growth unless you are dealing with specific hair fall patterns.
Swimming and Chlorine If you love a swim, do not just jump in. Before you enter the pool, apply hair oil to your hair. This acts as a barrier, coating your strands so the chlorine cannot penetrate and damage the hair shaft. It is a simple, non-negotiable step for anyone who swims regularly.
The Heat Protection Rule If you blow-dry or heat-style your hair, a heat protection spray is not optional. Think of it as SPF for your hair. Without it, you are essentially frying your strands, which leads to dryness and breakage over time.
Travel Smart Stop relying on random hotel shampoo. Always carry your own travel-sized shampoo and conditioner. We also recommend rinsing your hair with cold water whenever possible. It helps seal the cuticle and adds that natural shine you are looking for.
