My Professional Bridal Makeup Process
I believe a great look starts long before the lipstick goes on. Peek behind the brushes to see how I build, layer, and prep to create your perfect bridal glow.
This before and after video shows my transformation process. I always start with a clean canvas and focus on skin prep to create a subtle, timeless look that enhances the bride's natural beauty, making her feel elegant and radiant.
Watch me create a classic brown smokey eye, perfect for a sangeet or cocktail look. This video shows my brush techniques and how I build layers of eyeshadow to create a soft yet glamorous effect that defines the eyes beautifully.
About Behind the Brushes: My Process
I never start with heavy foundation. Everything begins with at least twenty minutes of focused skin prep using products like Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. This ensures the base hydrates and grips the makeup, so your look stays fresh even after hours of photos and dancing.
A truly radiant bridal look is all about the layers. When you see a soft glam finish, it is usually the result of careful, intentional steps taken before the final setting spray hits your face.
The Art of Layering
For eyes, especially when creating a classic smokey look like the one with my Natasha Denona palettes, I focus on building depth slowly. I apply a base colour to set the lids, then slowly layer and blend, adding darker pigments to build drama without muddiness. This ensures the eye makeup stays sharp and defined, not messy, through long events.
Skin That Breathes
My philosophy is that makeup should enhance, not mask. Whether I am using Huda Beauty or NARS, I apply foundation in thin, buildable layers. This technique ensures the product does not cake in creases and keeps your skin looking like skin, even under bright venue lights. For brides in humid climates like Mumbai or Goa, this light layering is vital for sweat resistance.
Attention to Detail
I pay close attention to the small things that make a difference. This includes precise lash application that feels weightless and collarbone highlighting to catch the light. I am always watching how the makeup reacts to the room, adjusting as we go to ensure you look consistent from the first ceremony to the last dance. My process is a conversation, not just a service, and I am here to ensure you feel like yourself.
