Behind the Lens: How I Capture Your Maternity Journey
Ever wonder what goes into your photoshoot? It is not just about the final frame, it is about the comfort, the laughter, and the quiet moments between the shots.
This video montage shows me at work in various settings, from a lakeside to a forest path. It's a look into my process of capturing the elegance and perfection of your motherhood journey.
About Behind the Lens
When you see me with my Sony gear, I am usually hunting for the light rather than forcing a pose. Whether we are dealing with the golden hour during an outdoor session or setting up my studio strobes in your living room, my main job is to keep you relaxed. I am the photographer willing to sit on the ground to get the right perspective, making sure that 'flying saree' or that perfect silhouette happens naturally without you feeling like you are posing for hours.
My approach to photography is simple: it is not about the camera, it is about the story you are living right now. When I arrive at a shoot, I bring my Sony and Godox equipment, but more importantly, I bring the patience required for maternity sessions.
The Process
For outdoor shoots, I prioritize the natural movement of the wind and the sun. I scout locations that allow for privacy so you can be yourself. If we are doing an in-home traditional shoot, I transform your space into a studio. I bring the backdrops, the lighting, and even the props like brass samai lamps and marigold garlands to keep the vibe authentic to your culture.
Why the 'Behind the Lens' Matters
You will notice in my work that I avoid stiff poses. I believe that maternity photography should reflect the connection you have with your baby and your partner. My goal is to capture the raw emotions—the laughter, the way you look at your bump, and the anticipation of what is coming next. By showing you how I work, I want you to feel confident that on the day of your shoot, you will be in the hands of someone who cares about your comfort as much as the final result.
What to Expect
Whether it is a traditional Maharashtrian look or a cinematic gown shoot, I guide you through the process. We start with wardrobe help and setup, and we move at your pace. If you need a break, we take one. If you have a specific idea you saw on Instagram, tell me. My role is to bridge the gap between your vision and the camera lens, ensuring you walk away with photos that feel like a memory, not just a product.
