I am Bharat Sharma. As the voice of Indian Karate on the global stage, my work ensures that your training, medals, and certifications are recognized by the World Karate Federation. This is the only official pathway to representing India internationally.

About Global Leadership & Official Affiliation

You need to know if your karate medal holds actual weight. Countless local tournaments happen across India, but only KIO-sanctioned events provide the WKF-recognized certification required for national team selection. If your goal is to represent Bharat on the world stage, ensure your technical record is managed under the official Sportdata system from day one.

The Only Path to Global Recognition

Many practitioners train for years, only to realize their medals and certifications carry no value outside their local district. As President of the Karate India Organisation, my priority is ensuring that Indian athletes do not waste their potential. We are the sole National Federation in India affiliated with the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the Asian Karate Federation (AKF).

Why Official Affiliation Matters

When you participate in a KIO event, you are not just entering a tournament. You are building a verified profile in the Sportdata system, which is the international standard for every karate athlete. This digital history follows you from cadet competitions to the senior national level and is the only record recognized by international selectors.

My Commitment to Governance

My role involves constant diplomatic engagement with the WKF and AKF executive councils. Whether I am in China, Sri Lanka, or Russia, I am there to ensure India's voice is heard and that our referees are properly trained to global standards. We are not just holding events. We are building the infrastructure that allows a talented youngster from a small town to eventually stand on an international podium wearing the India flag.

Verification and Integrity

If you are an academy owner or a coach, seeking KIO affiliation is the single most important step you can take for your students. It opens the door to sanctioned national championships, official Dan grading, and legitimate representation. Do not let your students rely on unverified certificates. If the event is not KIO-approved, it does not officially exist in the global karate ecosystem.
