About SMXS Takeover: Double the Madness
For our SMXS Takeover, we do not just stand there, we trade tracks live back to back. To pull this off, we need an expanded console setup with four linked CDJs, so we will need to coordinate with your venue technical team in advance to ensure the rig is ready for the dual deck madness.
The SMXS Takeover is designed for when you want the dance floor to reach a breaking point. When Shameless Mani and I jump behind the decks together, the dynamic shifts from a standard performance to a competitive, high octane B2B set. We trade tracks on the fly, feeding off each other energy and the crowd reaction, which keeps the music selection fresh and unpredictable.
Unlike a solo set, this requires a specific tech rider. We need four CDJs linked, not just two, because we are constantly mixing in and out simultaneously. If your venue is not equipped, let us know early, and we can provide the exact tech specs for your local rental partners to handle.
Why choose a duo? It is the dual mic usage. While one of us is beat matching and handling the transitions, the other is constantly working the crowd, getting on the mic, and coordinating with your SFX team for CO2 drops and lighting cues. It is a full on spectacle, whether it is a packed club night in Mumbai, a corporate gala, or a massive festival stage.
