Safe and Hygienic Piercing Process
Piercing shouldn't be scary. At my studio in Bhiwandi, I ensure everything is sterilized and handled with precision so you can just focus on the look you want.
I want you to see exactly what I use. This is my standard setup: a fresh pair of gloves, sterilized forceps, and a new piercing needle in a sealed package. No shortcuts, just 100% safe and professional work.
Before starting any piercing, I get all my sanitized tools ready on a clean surface. Here you can see me preparing for an ear piercing, making sure everything is perfect before I even begin.
About My Safe & Hygienic Process
Before we start, I open the sterilized, single-use needle right in front of you. Whether it’s a cartilage piercing or a simple nostril stud, I use topical numbing spray to keep things painless, and I wear fresh nitrile gloves for every single client. You won't find any piercing guns here for delicate work; it’s all manual, precise, and completely safe.
People often ask me why I avoid piercing guns for cartilage or nose piercings. The answer is simple: guns can cause blunt force trauma to the tissue. At Shades of Inks, I use the manual freehand technique with hollow tri-bevel cannula needles. This means cleaner holes, faster healing, and way less swelling compared to traditional gun methods.
My Safety Protocols
- Sterilization: Every tool, from forceps to clamps, goes through an autoclave or chemical sterilization process. Needles are always fresh, E.O. gas sterilized, and single-use.
- Numbing: If you're worried about the pinch, don't be. I apply a Lidocaine-based topical anesthetic 10 to 15 minutes before the procedure so you barely feel anything.
- Aftercare: After the procedure, I apply an antibiotic ointment and walk you through the cleaning routine. It’s a 10-minute chat that saves you weeks of irritation.
Whether you're visiting my Narpoli studio or my new spot in Kongaon, Kalyan, the hygiene standards stay the same. I treat every piercing like it’s my own, keeping the environment clinical but the vibe completely relaxed. No stress, just good vibes.
