Regal Sagas: Palace and Heritage Wedding Photography
History doesn't just hold our weddings; it shapes them. I capture the grandeur of palace venues and the intimate, quiet moments that turn a heritage property into the setting of your own timeless story.
A bride's grand entrance is a moment of pure magic. I worked with Vibha to style her Anamika Khanna lehenga and the decor, ensuring her reveal through these magnificent golden doors at Mementos by ITC Hotels felt nothing short of royal.
A portrait of modern royalty. I styled Navya and Avi against a hand-painted backdrop with soft floral arches, coordinating her vibrant red Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga with his elegant ivory sherwani for a harmonious and regal look.
Descending the grand staircase at the Taj Mahal Palace. I directed this shot to feel like a scene from a classic film, styling Alia in a golden Tarun Tahiliani gown that perfectly captured the opulent, old-world glamour of the setting.
A quiet walk through the sunlit corridors of Fairmont Jaipur. My styling focused on the beautiful contrast between the couple's soft pastel Tarun Tahiliani outfits and the grand, monolithic architecture of the palace.
A formal portrait exuding quiet confidence and grace. I styled Sakshi and Arpan in coordinated pastel and jewel-toned outfits by Ronak and Shruti, creating a look of understated royalty that feels both classic and contemporary.
An entrance that feels both grand and intimate. I styled Khushi and Deepak for their reception in a rich, velvety Sabyasachi ensemble, set against the warm, literary backdrop of the library at Raffles Jaipur.
The architecture of a space is part of the story. Here, I framed the bride within a series of arches, using the clean white lines and the pop of the golden door to create a minimalist yet majestic bridal portrait.
The final touches from her closest friends. I love capturing these candid moments of sisterhood. The coordinated pastel lehengas were chosen to create a soft, harmonious frame around the bride in her beautiful pink ensemble.
A moment of anticipation. I styled this shot to capture the bride's entrance through the grand, sunlit corridors of the Taj Mahal Mumbai, her vibrant Sabyasachi saree creating a stunning focal point against the classic architecture.
A celebration in a historic courtyard. I used colorful smoke bombs to add a burst of modern energy to this couple's pastel-themed entrance, creating a dynamic contrast against the ancient stone architecture of Fairmont Jaipur.
About Regal Sagas: Palace & Heritage Weddings
In palace settings, the architecture can easily overwhelm the couple. My approach is to strip away the grandiosity for at least a few frames. Whether we are at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai or the Fairmont in Jaipur, I work to find the quiet corners—the sunlit corridors or a solitary archway—where your connection stands out against the scale of history. It’s about balance, not just documenting the venue.
Heritage venues offer incredible natural backdrops, but they also demand a specific eye. When we shoot at locations like Raffles Jaipur or Mementos by ITC Hotels, I don't just look for the obvious wide shots. I look for the dialogue between the light and the stone.
Our Process in Historic Spaces
I often conduct a site recce, whether virtual or physical, to study how the golden hour hits the palace facades. This planning lets me decide exactly where to place you for that effortless, timeless portrait.
Collaboration is Key
A common challenge in heritage weddings is ensuring your decor enhances the venue instead of fighting it. My creative direction involves briefing decor teams to focus on lighting temperatures and backdrop placements that respect the space’s original character. We aim for harmony, ensuring the decor complements the history rather than hiding it.
The Styling Approach
Your attire matters more than ever here. For these shoots, I often steer couples toward rich fabrics and jewel tones—think velvet, silk, and deep crimsons—that hold their own against intricate wall carvings or grand staircases. We focus on power portraits that exude confidence, ensuring your presence is as strong as the architecture surrounding you. It’s a collaboration where we blend your modern love story with the echoes of the past, resulting in imagery that feels both regal and deeply personal.
