Activewear and Swimwear Confidence for Curvy Women
The gym and the pool shouldn't be places where you feel like you need to hide. Let's find activewear and swimwear that actually fits, supports your curves, and lets you move with joy.
A bottom-wear haul for my pear-shaped girlies. I found workout joggers that aren't tight on my thighs and tights that don't roll down. Don't let cellulite stop you from wearing what makes you feel good.
It's time to be brave. Brave enough to find beauty in every curve and say no to unrealistic beauty standards. Your body tells a unique story, and it's time to appreciate it.
Let your belly breathe and your fat legs work as they are. This video is a celebration of being yourself, moving freely, and finding bliss in the body you have right now.
About this collection
Let’s talk about the real struggle of activewear: the dreaded waistband roll-down and thigh friction. If you are a pear-shaped girly, most mainstream activewear just isn't designed for your proportions, which is why you end up tugging at your leggings or feeling self-conscious in the pool. I focus on finding specific cuts and brands with high-waisted, compression-fit gear that stays put while you move, so you can actually focus on your workout, not your clothes.
Finding activewear or swimwear when you have a pear-shaped body often feels like a losing battle. You want to move, but you are worried about your belly pooch, your thunder thighs, or cellulite showing. Here is the thing: the problem isn't your body, it is the clothes.
Why Most Gear Doesn't Work
- Waist-to-Hip Ratio: Most leggings are cut for straighter figures, leading to that constant slipping or gaping at the waist.
- Thigh Friction: If you have thick thighs, you need fabrics that don't bunch up or cause chafing during long workouts.
- The 'Suck-In' Trap: You don't need shapewear for the gym. You need supportive, high-compression fabrics that hold you securely without restricting your breathing.
My Approach to Activewear & Swimwear
In my sessions, we stop looking at 'flattering' as a way to hide. We look for 'function'—gear that lets you swim, run, or do yoga without distraction.
- Look for 'Stay-Put' Waistbands: I recommend brands that use criss-cross or thick, high-rise bands which help accommodate a belly pooch comfortably without rolling down.
- Fabric Matters: Choose matte, stretchable fabrics for swimwear that provide coverage where you want it but move with your curves.
- The Mindset: When you stop treating the gym as a place to punish your body for what you ate, the clothes you choose become tools for joy.
We can review the specific outfits you are scared to wear and figure out how to make them work for you, or I can share my list of tried-and-tested brands that actually fit curvy bodies.
