My Journey as a First-Generation Advocate
Law is my karmabhumi, my workplace, and my passion. Here is a look at the path that took me from the halls of Delhi University to starting Legalon Advocates.
A proud moment holding a certificate outside the Law Centre at Delhi University. My legal education provided the foundation for my career and my passion for advocacy.
Visiting my alma mater, Miranda House, on its foundation day. My education here was instrumental in shaping my perspective, especially my focus on women's rights and empowerment.
Another visit back to Miranda House, a place that holds many formative memories. Being a "Mirandian" is a part of my identity that I carry with pride into my professional life.
A photo taken outside a court building, dressed in my professional attire. Each day as an advocate brings new challenges and opportunities to stand up for what is right.
A confident smile on a sunny day. My journey as a female advocate is one I embrace with positivity and determination, ready to take on whatever comes next.
A visit to the Khelo Duniya office highlights the diverse areas my legal work touches, including sports law. Every opportunity is a chance to learn and apply my legal skills in new contexts.
About My Journey as an Advocate
Being a first-generation lawyer means I understand that the court system can feel intimidating and opaque. My practice is built on a simple philosophy: I skip the legal jargon and focus on making the law actually accessible for you. Whether we are navigating a matrimonial dispute or setting up POSH compliance, my goal is to ensure you understand every step of the process before we make a move.
My path to becoming a lawyer wasn't paved by family connections. It started at the Law Centre, Delhi University, and was shaped by my formative years at Miranda House. Those days taught me that the law is not just about rules; it is about protecting rights and demanding fairness.
When I founded Legalon Advocates in Pitampura, I wanted to create a space that felt different from the stiff, inaccessible law firms I had seen. My work today spans across Delhi-NCR and involves a mix of litigation and advisory roles. I represent clients in civil and criminal matters, but I also dedicate a significant part of my practice to POSH compliance, helping organizations foster safer workplaces.
I view my work as an advocate as a partnership. When you come to me with a case, you are not just getting a lawyer to file paperwork; you are getting someone who will break down the complex legalities into practical actions. My approach is to be upfront about the realities of your case, keeping the process transparent so you can make informed decisions. If you are looking for legal guidance that is rooted in real-world experience rather than just textbook theory, I am here to help.
