About Engagement & Tilak Ceremonies
I focus on the small details you will want to remember, like the texture of your nauvari saree or the exact moment the ring slides on. I always carry portable lighting setups, which helps me get clear, bright shots of the ceremony even if the venue lighting is dim or crowded.
Engagement ceremonies move fast. Whether it is a traditional Tilak in a family home or a ring exchange at a banquet hall in Navi Mumbai, my goal is to blend in while capturing the real reactions. I do not believe in forcing stiff poses. I prefer to let the rituals unfold naturally—the laughter when a prank goes wrong, the tearful blessings from your parents, or the shy smile between you and your partner.
I typically work with a 2-person crew for these events to ensure one of us is always focused on the couple while the other documents the guests and family interactions. This allows us to cover both the ceremony rituals and the candid moments happening on the sidelines without missing anything.
I also have a deep respect for the cultural nuances of a Maharashtrian Tilak ceremony. From the specific ritualistic items to traditional attire like the pheta, I know exactly what to prioritize. You won't have to explain the flow of the ceremony to me. My deliverable is a mix of cinematic highlights and those essential family portraits you need for your album. My style is vibrant, focusing on natural light and real emotions rather than static, posed photography.
