I don't believe in forced poses. In these sessions, I focus on the connection between the camera and the subject, often using natural window light to highlight texture and mood. Whether you need an edge for your casting profile or a soft, relatable look for personal branding, we work at your pace to ensure you feel comfortable enough to drop the guard and show your range.
How We Get the Right Shot
Lifestyle photography is all about the details that make you unique. My approach moves away from rigid studio constraints to capture who you actually are. We often use simple indoor backdrops or casual settings where you can move freely. This helps us get those 'in-between' moments—a subtle glance, a natural laugh, or a confident gaze—that casting directors and brands look for.
The Technical Side
For these intimate shoots, I use a 3-point lighting setup designed to be flattering without looking over-produced. We focus on skin tones and texture, ensuring the raw data remains clean for the post-production stage. I personally handle the high-end retouching, focusing on color correction and smoothing without losing the character of the image.
Preparing for Your Session
- Wardrobe: Keep it simple. Solids or textures that define your shape work best. I recommend bringing 3 varied looks to show range.
- Direction: I provide specific posing direction throughout the shoot. If you have a specific 'character' look (e.g., corporate, girl-next-door, edgy) you need to hit, let me know before we start.
- Collaborators: While I shoot these solo, I am always happy to work with your preferred MUA or stylist if you want a specific groomed look for your lifestyle shoot.
