Puppy Foundation Training in Delhi-NCR
Start your puppy on the right path with science-based foundation training. I help you build a bond through positive reinforcement, not harsh commands.
This shows the step-by-step process of teaching a 5-month-old Cocker Spaniel puppy, Bomzi, a 'place' command using a simple stool. We start with curiosity and build up to a confident, stable command.
Early leash skills are vital. Here, a 5-month-old Cocker Spaniel puppy learns how to pivot and stay close, which is the foundation for perfect heeling later on.
This is Surya, a 3.5-month-old German Shepherd puppy, during his first few sessions of advanced obedience. Even at this young age, they can learn quickly with the right, positive approach.
A walk should be enriching, not stressful. Here, 4-month-old GSD puppy Axel is learning to walk calmly on a leash while proudly carrying his toy, showing a happy and engaged mindset.
This is Doofy, a 4-month-old Indie puppy, learning to go to his bed on command. Crate and place training are essential for creating a calm, structured environment at home.
This is Junior, a 4-month-old rescued Indie puppy, learning the 'place' command. Using positive methods, even rescued dogs with unknown histories can quickly build confidence and learn new skills.
Training can be a fun activity for multiple dogs. Here are two 6-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog siblings learning together, building their bond with each other and their owner.
About Puppy Foundation Training
Most trainers just want to train your dog while you watch from the sofa. I do it differently. I coach you on how to be the trainer. If you don't learn the cues and the timing, the training stops the moment I leave your home. You will learn to read your puppy’s body language and use positive markers, so the foundation we build actually sticks.
Why Puppy Foundation Matters
The window between 3 and 6 months is critical. This is when your puppy is forming their worldview, and how you handle them now determines their temperament as an adult. My program isn't about teaching tricks for show; it is about building a stable foundation.
What We Focus On
- Toilet & Crate Training: We establish a structured schedule to keep your house clean and reduce separation anxiety. A crate should be your dog's safe space, not a cage.
- Engagement Building: Many owners struggle because their puppy finds everything else more interesting than them. I teach you how to become the most rewarding part of your dog's life using food lures and play.
- Impulse Control: We start early, teaching your puppy that good things come to those who wait—whether it's waiting for a meal or sitting politely at the door.
- Handling & Socialization: Controlled, calm exposure to sounds, surfaces, and people to prevent future fear or anxiety.
My Approach
I rely on operant conditioning and clicker games. We do not use fear or harsh corrections. A mentally tired dog is a happy dog, and that is exactly the kind of state we aim for.
We conduct these sessions in your home across Delhi-NCR. Because I work with your specific environment—your hallway, your garden, your living room—the training is relevant to the challenges you face every day. Whether you have an Indie, a GSD, or a Labrador, the science of learning is the same. Let's make sure you get it right the first time.
