About Elegant Hairstyling with Traditional Braids
I don't believe in just watching videos, so in this module, you spend your time on mannequin heads mastering sectioning patterns and tension control before moving to live models. We tackle the tricky stuff—like fixing heavy Jada and Maang Tikka so they stay put—so you’re actually ready to style a bride on her wedding day.
Hairstyling is more than just braiding; it’s about structure, volume, and secure placement. My advanced course is designed for those who want to move beyond basic ponytails to create styles that last through long ceremonies.
During the 10-15 day sessions at my Akshaya Nagar studio, we focus on:
- Foundation: Blow-dry techniques, sectioning, and managing hair density.
- Traditional Artistry: Mastering the South Indian 'Jada' and intricate floral placements (Poola Jada). We cover how to securely pin heavy jewelry so it remains comfortable for the bride.
- Modern Edge: Hollywood waves, textured buns, and front framing that complements different face shapes.
- Tool Mastery: Learning precise temperature control with straighteners, tongs, and crimpers to add texture without causing damage.
We practice on mannequins first to build muscle memory, then finish with a live assessment to ensure you can handle real-world challenges. By the end of this course, you’ll have the confidence to create stable, elegant styles that don’t fall apart.
