Before I begin any sculpture or mural, I create a clay prototype to ensure the proportions, expressions, and composition align with your vision. This step allows us to refine the details, like the depth of a relief mural or the posture of a statue, before we commit to permanent materials like fiberglass or resin, ensuring the final piece feels exactly right for your home temple or living space.
My process is rooted in the idea of sadhana, where the creation of art is an act of devotion. When you commission a custom piece, we start with a conversation to understand the energy you want to cultivate in your home.
My Approach to Customization
- Relief Murals (3D Art): These are perfect for interior walls, especially in prayer rooms. I focus on high-relief sculpting, creating elements that protrude 3 to 6 inches from the wall to give a life-like depth. Whether it is Radha Krishna in a forest setting or a specific motif, the storytelling is in the detailing.
- Freestanding Sculptures (4D Art): For 360-degree statues, I use internal metal reinforcement to ensure structural balance and stability. These are cast in durable materials like fiberglass or marble dust, designed to last for generations.
- The Finishing Touch: Every piece undergoes a rigorous process of rubbing, polishing, and hand-painting. I do not believe in shortcuts. For portraits or deity figures, the eyes and expressions are painted with precision to ensure a 'sajiv' or life-like feeling.
I personally consult on placement and design, helping you choose themes that resonate with your interests. While my studio is in Paschim Vihar, Delhi, I work with clients across India to install these custom pieces.
