About Monsoon Treks in the Western Ghats
These trails are not for the faint of heart—you will face heavy rain, thick mud, and steep climbs in places like Kudremukha. We manage all forest permits, homestay bookings, and 4x4 transfers, so your only responsibility is showing up with the right gear. Our groups are built around the shared effort and the camaraderie of reaching the peak together, not just sightseeing.
Our Monsoon Trekking Style
When we say 'let the mud and magic begin,' we mean it. We don't believe in rushed tours or rigid schedules. Our monsoon treks focus on the immersive experience of the Western Ghats—the feeling of cool air after a climb, the smell of wet earth, and the challenge of navigating slippery trails in places like Netravathi, Bandaje, and Kurinjal.
The Logistics
We keep things simple because you are here to escape the city grind.
- Departure: All our trips kick off from Bangalore on Friday nights, so you do not have to worry about the commute to the base.
- Stay: We prioritize local Malnad homestays. Expect bunk beds, simple buffet-style meals, and authentic hospitality in coffee plantations.
- Safety: We handle the forest department entry fees and carry first aid kits. Our Trip Captains are there to pace the group and ensure everyone stays together, especially when the fog rolls in and visibility drops.
