Most people think they need years of formal training to start singing, but that is not true. I approach teaching by learning the process alongside my students, focusing on the emotion and feel of a song rather than just rigid technique. If you want to sing songs you actually love instead of just practicing scales, this is where we start.

When I started teaching, I was nervous because I did not have a traditional academic background in Western music. To get better at guiding others, I took the Trinity Rock and Pop Vocal Examinations myself. This experience was eye-opening because it allowed me to break down vocal techniques from a student's perspective.

My classes are built on a few core beliefs:

• Feel over Form: We start with the emotion of the song. If you cannot feel the music, no amount of technical precision will make it sound good.
• Modern Approach: Whether we are working on pop, soul, or indie tracks, we use contemporary methods to train your ear and your voice.
• Flexible Learning: Since the pandemic, I have taught hundreds of hours online. We adapt to your pace, your song choices, and your personal goals.

I work with absolute beginners who are just finding their confidence, as well as intermediate singers who want to understand vocal control or improve their interpretation of complex tracks. We don't just focus on hitting the notes; we focus on why those notes matter in the context of the song.
