Perfect Lip Combos and Easy Ombre Hacks

You do not need an expensive kit to get these looks. Most of my favorite ombre effects come from just one dark brown lip liner, like the ones from Mars or MyGlamm, and a soft nude lipstick. If you have those two items, you already have the base for almost every look I create. By using a darker lip liner—usually a deep brown—and blending it inwards with a lighter nude or peach shade, you create dimension that a flat, single-color lipstick just cannot achieve.

1. Skip the bright red with a red outfit: It often looks too loud. A muted pink or a soft nude shade creates a much more elegant, balanced look.
2. The Brown Liner is Mandatory: If you are unsure where to start, buy a good dark brown lip liner. It is the base for 90 percent of the looks I create. It grounds brighter lipsticks and gives a natural structure to the lips.
3. Test before you buy: I often share side-by-side comparisons and transfer tests for the products I use. You do not need to spend thousands on luxury brands to get a transfer-proof, long-lasting finish.
