About this collection
You really don't need a kit full of expensive brushes to get that perfect party glow. I swear by finger blending—especially for foundations and cream blushes—because the warmth of your hands helps the product melt into your skin for a natural, non-cakey finish. It is just about knowing where to place the product and how much to blend. Let me show you how simple it can be to get that professional look using just your own two hands and some reliable products.
Most of these looks are inspired by my own festive celebrations, from Ganesha Chaturthi to Christmas. I believe makeup is not about masking your face but highlighting what makes you, well, you. That is why I rely heavily on skin prep before even touching a foundation. If your base is not right, the eyeshadow does not matter.
I predominantly use high-performance, affordable Indian brands like Charmacy Milano, PAC, and Renee. These formulas, sikkapatte chennagide (they are really good), are specifically made for our humidity and skin tones. You will see me using finger blending techniques in almost every video. Why? Because the warmth of your hands helps blend product much better than standard brushes, ensuring that seamless, skin-like finish that never looks cakey.
When you are prepping for a party or a wedding guest appearance, remember that less is often more. Focus on one feature—maybe a bold lip or a sharp wing—and keep the rest of the skin fresh and dewy. If you are struggling with a specific look, head over to my 'Makeup Fundamentals' cluster where I break down the basics like color correction and eyebrow filling.
All of these tutorials were filmed right here in my Malleshwaram studio. If you are in Bangalore and prefer a professional touch for a big event instead of doing it yourself, I do offer in-studio and venue services. Otherwise, just pick a video, grab your mirror, and let's get ready together. Omsairam.
