As a contemporary hyperrealistic artist, I create custom charcoal and graphite portraits in monochrome. My work focuses on sketching the soul of the subject, one line at a time, to capture its raw power and tranquility.

This piece, titled 'The Temptation', is an exploration of texture and emotion captured in charcoal. I focused on the delicate interplay of light and shadow, the softness of skin against the fine strands of hair, and the glossy texture of the lips to create a hyperrealistic and evocative portrait.

I present 'Gajraaj', a tribute to the sheer power and majesty of the elephant. My goal with this large-scale charcoal drawing was to render every wrinkle and the weathered texture of the tusks, conveying a sense of ancient wisdom and enduring strength.

Here is my charcoal tribute to the magnetic presence of actor Ram Charan. In this portrait, I worked to capture his distinct character and charisma, focusing on the expressive look in his eyes and the intricate details of his beard, all rendered in classic monochrome.

This piece captures the dynamic energy of 'Lavani', a traditional Marathi folk dance. Using charcoal on white paper, I aimed to freeze a moment of fluid motion, emphasizing the graceful posture and the dramatic flow of the saree's fabric against the shadows.

The challenge of capturing the gleam of polished brass and the intricate mechanics of a saxophone is one I relish. This hyperrealistic charcoal drawing focuses on the way light reflects off the instrument, contrasting with the musician's hands as they prepare to create music.

To give a sense of the scale I can work with, here I am with 'Frozen Motion'. This 6 by 4 foot charcoal on linen canvas was a massive undertaking, designed to be a statement piece that brings the powerful energy of a horse into any space.

Titled 'Bliss', this artwork is my interpretation of tranquility. Through the soft blending of charcoal, I sought to create a serene and meditative portrait of Buddha, where the gentle expression and subtle textures invite a moment of peace and introspection.

This piece, 'Mighty Rush', captures the explosive energy of a charging bull. I used charcoal on a large 3 by 4 foot linen canvas to bring out the raw power and motion, making it feel as if it could leap from the frame.

Titled 'Riwayat', this 6-foot-wide artwork is my homage to the tradition of Indian classical dance. The focus is on the 'Ghungroo', where every tiny bell is meticulously drawn with charcoal and graphite to represent the dancer's sacred connection to the earth.

'Gajraaj', a majestic elephant portrait on a 40 by 50 inch linen canvas. My goal was to capture the immense presence and detailed texture of this incredible animal, conveying a sense of ancient wisdom and strength.

'The Temptation' is an intimate 18 by 18 inch charcoal and graphite drawing that explores themes of bliss and sensuality. The fine details, from the strands of hair to the texture of the skin, are meant to draw the viewer into a moment of deep emotion.

In 'Harmony', I depicted two horses standing peacefully together on a large 5 by 3 foot archival paper. This piece showcases the graceful anatomy and serene bond between the animals, rendered with detailed charcoal strokes.

This hyperrealistic drawing of a saxophone focuses on the interplay of light and shadow on metal. Created with charcoal on a 21 by 36 inch canvas, it highlights the intricate details of the instrument and the hands that bring it to life.

'Bliss' is a 24 by 24 inch charcoal portrait of Buddha, designed to evoke tranquility and spiritual introspection. The monochromatic tones and soft shadows create a calming presence, perfect for a space of meditation.

My Story

Hey, I’m Om. Grew up in Latur, now hustling in Mumbai. Art’s my way of catching a vibe—sometimes it’s a wild animal, sometimes it’s a quiet face, all in charcoal and graphite. Judged a painting comp at IIT Bombay once, but honestly, nothing beats seeing a grandpa and his granddaughter chatting about my work. That’s real. That’s why I keep drawing.

My Work

What I Do - I make hyperrealistic charcoal portraits, custom graphite artwork, and offer prints of my original pieces.

My Style - Monochrome is my thing. I chase light, texture, and emotion in black and white.

Commissions - I sketch custom portraits and soulful commissioned sketches. Every subject gets its own vibe.
