Mythical and Animal Tattoo Designs in Mumbai
Bringing creatures, real and imagined, to life on skin. Focusing on black and grey details to capture the movement and spirit of your chosen design.
This detailed black and grey portrait of the dragon Balerion is a prime example of my work with mythical creatures. I use dotwork and shading to create realistic depth and texture.
A color photograph of the finished Balerion tattoo, showing how the black ink settles into the skin. This piece required careful layering to achieve the dark, imposing look of the dragon.
This custom eagle tattoo combines the natural form of the bird with a strong geometric frame. It's a powerful design that represents freedom and focus, tailored specifically for my client's forearm.
A serpentine dragon designed to wrap around the forearm. This piece uses clean linework to create a sense of movement, following the natural curve of the arm.

About Mythical & Animal Tattoos
When we work on a creature design, the first thing I look at is how it sits on your body. A dragon needs to flow with your muscle movement rather than just sitting flat on the skin, so we spend time mapping the stencil to ensure the design looks alive even when you move your arm.
Mythology and nature offer great inspiration, but turning those ideas into a tattoo requires technical control. My focus is on black and grey realism, which allows me to use depth and texture to make dragon scales or eagle feathers stand out.
My Process
We start with a conversation at my Bhayandar West studio. You tell me what the creature represents, and we look at references together. I do not just copy images. I adjust the anatomy to fit your arm, leg, or back. Whether it is a small mythical creature or a large-scale project, hygiene is my priority. I use fresh needles, sterile cartridges, and premium black ink for every session.
Why Black and Grey?
Black and grey work brings a timeless quality to animal tattoos. It avoids the distraction of color and lets me highlight the structure. We can work with whip shading, dot work, or solid black lining depending on your preference. If you are planning a large piece, we will break it into sessions so you stay comfortable. Every creature tells a story, and I am here to help you put that story on your skin.
