Hands-On Science Workshops for Kids in Mumbai
We trade screen time for bubbling beakers and messy experiments. Discover how we turn complex science concepts into an afternoon of play at our Khar lab.
Learn how to make incredible snake bubbles with just a sock, a bottle, and some bubble solution. This simple DIY activity teaches kids about air pressure and surface tension in the most fun way possible.
Ever seen a ball float in mid-air? With a simple hairdryer, we demonstrate Bernoulli's Principle, showing kids how air pressure can create an amazing anti-gravity effect.
3, 2, 1, blast off! Professor Silly shows you how to create your own canister rockets. This explosive experiment is a fantastic way to learn about pressure and chemical reactions.
What does sound look like? With a tuning fork, we show how sound travels in vibrations. When we dip it in water, you can actually see the ripples created by the sound waves.
Professor Silly is here to explain the power of magnets. This floating paper clip experiment is a great visual demonstration of magnetic fields and the principles of attraction and repulsion.
Watch as Professor Silly magically changes the color of a liquid right before your eyes. This is a classic chemistry experiment that demonstrates how different chemicals react to create a surprising visual change.
Learning about air pressure by inflating balloons. This hands-on activity allows kids to physically feel and see the principles of physics at work.
The joy of a successful experiment. This self-inflating balloon trick, using a simple acid-base reaction, always brings a smile to our young scientists' faces.
A row of little scientists, each intently focused on their self-inflating balloon experiment. It's a great activity for learning about cause and effect.
Can a few paper cups support your weight? This teamwork-focused activity challenges kids to work together and learn about weight distribution and structural strength.
About Hands-On Workshop Adventures
We don't do boring lectures here. In our Khar lab, science looks like snake bubbles, erupting canisters, and kids with messy hands. Your child won't just watch an experiment from across the room, they will wear the safety goggles, handle the reagents, and take home the result, whether it is slime, a rocket, or a DIY circuit.
How Our Science Labs Work
We believe that if a child is having fun, they are learning. Our workshops move away from textbooks and toward physical, tactile engagement. We guide kids through experiments that might seem like magic—changing the color of a liquid, making a balloon self-inflate, or creating anti-gravity effects with a hairdryer—but are rooted in real physics and chemistry.
What To Expect
Each 90-minute session is designed to build confidence and spark that 'Why?' question.
- Active Participation: We keep the screen-free ratio high. Whether it is engineering simple machines or understanding surface tension, your child is the one doing the work.
- The Nutty Professor Approach: Our team isn't just about reading from a script. We come dressed for the part, turning the room into a lab environment that feels safe, silly, and exciting.
- Tangible Results: Every child walks out with their own creation. They aren't just hearing about polymers; they are making slime and taking it home. They aren't just hearing about structural engineering; they are building a bridge out of simple materials and testing its strength.
Who This Is For
We run separate batches for different age groups to keep the science relevant. Younger scientists (ages 3 to 6) focus on sensory-based experiments and nature, while our older crew (ages 6 to 10+) gets into forensics, chemical reactions, and basic engineering. If your child likes to break things apart to see how they work, they will fit right in.
Nutty Scientists
We are the Nutty Scientists Mumbai team, and we have made it our mission to make science feel more like a playground than a classroom. We trade boring lectures for bubbling beakers because that is how kids actually learn. If you are ready for your child to come home talking about Bernoulli’s principle instead of the latest cartoons, you have found your people.
