Balcony and Backyard Garden Makeovers
Turn that empty corner into your own green escape. I design and set up balconies and backyards that actually breathe.
This is what I love to do: turn a plain, empty space into a cozy green corner that feels alive. I used artificial turf, a comfy sofa, and a mix of indoor plants like Monstera and Areca Palm to create this relaxing vibe.
I designed this modern backyard corner to be super low maintenance but high on style. The combination of large stone pavers, smooth river pebbles, and tall Traveller's Palms creates a clean, tropical feel that's perfect for relaxing.
For this gallery space, I designed and installed a custom terracotta jali wall that doubles as a vertical planter. This adds an earthy, traditional touch while creating a unique green feature wall for the balcony.
A little shaping can completely change a plant's look. Here you can see the final result of my topiary work, where I sculpted these Juniper plants into a tiered, artistic form, perfect for a formal garden or statement entrance.
This is the 'before' shot of the Juniper plants I work on. I source healthy, full plants like these from the best farms to ensure they are ready for sculpting and will thrive in their new home.
Here is the same Lonavala bungalow entrance during the day. You can clearly see the variety of foliage textures, from the large Monstera leaves to the delicate ferns, all arranged to create a full, vibrant look.
About Balcony & Backyard Makeovers
Let’s be real, most Mumbai balconies end up as storage spaces. I fix that by layering artificial turf for softness and adding river pebbles along the edges to keep things clean. It is not just about aesthetics, it is about making a space you actually want to step out into with your morning coffee.
Many people think you need a massive plot to have a garden. The truth is your 40 sq. ft. balcony can be a personal retreat if you use the right textures. I focus on mixing hardscaping, like stepping stones and river pebbles, with low-maintenance greens like Snake Plants and Areca Palms that thrive in our Mumbai humidity.
Whether you want a tropical hangout spot or a neat, Zen-inspired corner, the process starts with understanding how much sun your balcony gets. We do not just dump plants in corners. We plan for drainage, add vertical elements like trellises for creepers, and install subtle fairy lights to keep it cozy even after the sun goes down.
I know the biggest fear is plant care. That is why my setups are designed to be practical. I will guide you on watering routines, and if you ever need a hand, I am just a call away for a quick maintenance visit to prune or repot. You get the lush look without the stress of being a full-time gardener. Let us make your home a bit greener, one corner at a time.
