About 100% Natural Hair Colour
Natural dyes work differently than chemical ones, so patience is key. You will mix the powder into a paste, apply it for about an hour, and rinse with plain water. Don't worry if the colour doesn't look intense immediately; the herbal pigments naturally oxidize and darken over the next 24 to 48 hours to reveal the final shade.
Why Choose Herbal Hair Colour?
Commercial dyes often rely on ammonia, PPD (paraphenylenediamine), and hydrogen peroxide to force colour into the hair shaft. While they work fast, they can leave your hair brittle, cause scalp irritation, and lead to hair fall over time. My herbal colours are made with simple, earth-derived ingredients that nourish while they tint.
The Ingredients I Use
- Henna: The base for most natural dyes, providing conditioning and a reddish-orange tint.
- Indigo: When mixed with henna, it creates that rich, deep black colour.
- Amla: Adds shine and strengthens the hair follicles.
- Beetroot & Coffee: Used in my burgundy blend to bring out those warm, reddish-brown tones.
- Neem: Added to keep the scalp clean and prevent infections.
Choosing Your Shade
- Herbal Black: Perfect if you want to cover greys naturally. It gives a soft, natural black finish rather than that harsh, synthetic 'shoe-polish' look.
- Natural Burgundy: Best for those who want a trendy reddish-brown tint. Because I don't use metallic salts or bleach, the intensity will vary depending on your natural hair colour.
How to Get the Best Results
- Mix: Create a thick paste using water.
- Apply: Coat your hair evenly, focusing on roots and greys.
- Wait: Leave it on for at least 60 minutes.
- Rinse: Wash with plain water only.
- The Secret Step: Do not use shampoo for the first 24-48 hours. Apply a little bit of my herbal hair oil the next day, and then wash with a mild shampoo. This helps the colour 'lock in' and prevents it from fading quickly.
