Hand-Painted Miniature Watercolor Polaroids
Tiny, original watercolor landscapes that bring a bit of quiet beauty to your desk or phone case. Every piece is hand-painted and unique.
A miniature watercolor painting of a solitary lighthouse perched on a rocky cliff by the sea. The details in the stonework and the deep blue of the water make this a captivating little coastal scene.
This tiny Polaroid captures a serene moment of two people looking out over a lake with sailboats. It’s a perfect example of the narrative scenes I love to paint in miniature form.
A warm, golden sunset over the water, painted in watercolor on a miniature Polaroid. The reflection of the sun and the silhouette of the tree create a peaceful, dreamy atmosphere.
A rustic stone bridge over a flowing river, captured in this detailed mini watercolor. I focused on the texture of the old house and the movement of the water to bring this countryside scene to life.
Here’s a look at how you can style my mini watercolor Polaroids. This image shows a collection of different landscapes ready to be used, with one already personalizing a clear phone case.
A moody and atmospheric mini painting of a silhouetted mountain range against a dusky sky, reflected in the calm water below. This piece showcases a more dramatic style of landscape art.
Peeking through lush green foliage to a view of a mountain across the water. This hand-painted Polaroid uses framing to create depth and draw your eye into the landscape.
About this collection
I paint these tiny scenes on 300 GSM cold-press watercolor paper, specifically sized to fit inside a transparent phone case or prop up on a mini easel. They are not prints, but original little windows into a landscape that I have hand-painted using artist-grade watercolors and opaque gouache for detail.
These little paintings started because I wanted to capture moments that were fleeting, quiet, and personal. Each one is roughly 3 by 4 inches, which is perfect for keeping art within arm's reach. Because I use 300 GSM watercolor paper, the material handles the paint well without buckling, ensuring these keep their structure over time.
The reason I call them Polaroids is for that nostalgic, instant-memory feel. Whether it is a quiet lakeside scene with sailboats, a rugged mountain path, or a cozy hillside home, I try to pack a whole atmosphere into that tiny frame. They come with a rigid backing board so they stay flat, and the edges feature that classic white border you would expect from a film photo.
A lot of people pick these up to slide into their transparent phone cases. It is a really easy way to carry a piece of original art without it being bulky or heavy. Others prefer setting them up on a small easel on their desk or a bedside table. Because they are so small, they also make great gifts or stocking stuffers if you are looking for something that is genuinely handmade rather than a mass-produced print.
If you have a specific scene in mind, just tell me. I love painting custom landscapes, like a spot from your last trip, a view from your childhood home, or even just a mood you want to capture. Since everything is painted by hand, no two pieces are identical. When you order, we can chat about the color palette or the vibe you want to see. Just remember that since I paint these to order, it takes a little patience while the paint dries and I seal the finish.
