I moved from a corporate desk to full-time photography, and I teach the way I wish someone had taught me: through practice, not theory.

My journey from a corporate job to a full-time photographer has been full of lessons, and now I want to share them with you. This video explains my story and my mission to help you improve your photography skills, whether you are using a DSLR or a mobile phone. I have experience in many genres, from weddings to corporate events, and I bring all that practical knowledge to my workshops.

I believe a great teacher acts as a guide, helping you find your own path and cut through the noise. This video shares my philosophy on the importance of mentorship, which is the foundation of my teaching style. My goal is to provide clear, practical guidance that helps you achieve your creative vision.

About My Journey & Teaching Approach

I don't teach from textbooks because photography is not a theory exam. Whether you are struggling to move your camera off Auto mode or trying to make your mobile shots look professional, we fix it by shooting, not reading. You will make mistakes in my studio or during our sessions, and that is exactly how you will learn to get the shot.

This is a perfect example of creating a beautiful, blurry background, a technique we call 'bokeh'. In my workshops, I teach you how to use your DSLR's settings, specifically the aperture, to isolate your subject and make it stand out just like this. It's one of the first steps to moving beyond auto mode and taking truly artistic photos.4
Composition is all about telling a story. Here, I used the railway tracks as 'leading lines' to draw your eye into the distance. We'll explore how to find and use these lines in landscapes and cityscapes to create powerful, dynamic images. I also applied a selective color effect in editing to make the sky pop.

This is what it's all about for me. Sharing over 15 years of experience with a room full of passionate photographers at a Nikon India workshop. My goal is simple: to help you understand the 'why' behind every setting, so you can become a confident photographer.7
This image lived in my mind for two years before I could create it. I shot the portrait and then used AI to generate the exact background I had imagined. I believe AI is a powerful tool for artists, not a threat. It helps us expand our creative vision, combining a photographer's skill with new technology.
Theory is important, but photography is learned by doing. In my workshops, you get hands-on practice with professional models and lighting setups. Here, students are learning to shoot a fashion portrait, applying the concepts we just discussed.

This photo of the leopard Luluka is a lesson in patience. We waited eight hours for this moment. I mentor my clients on the art of waiting, observing, and being ready for that split second when the animal finally gives you the shot.
The most powerful element in animal photography is eye contact. It creates a connection that is both intimate and fleeting. I teach you how to anticipate an animal's gaze and position yourself to capture that window to their soul.
