About My Process & Behind the Scenes
Makeup for photoshoots is rarely a solo act. Whether I am fine-tuning the placement of traditional jewelry for a campaign or blending eyeshadow for a reception look, my focus is always on how the makeup translates under studio lights. It is about understanding the vibe of the shoot and making sure the hair and base stay perfect, from the first frame to the last.
How We Get The Shot
When I am on set, my job is to make sure you look camera-ready regardless of the lighting or the duration of the shoot. I work with brands, models, and photographers to ensure the makeup does not just look good in person, but performs under hot studio lights.
My Technical Approach
- Base Perfection: I use professional products from MAC, NARS, and Forever52 to build a base that is suited to Indian skin tones. My goal is always a finish that looks like skin, not heavy makeup.
- Lighting-Friendly: For shoots, I focus on flash-friendly contouring. This prevents the dreaded white cast in photos, ensuring your features are defined and balanced.
- Durability: Whether it is a long commercial session or an outdoor editorial, I use industrial sealers like Kryolan when necessary to ensure the look stays sweat-proof and intact.
Hair & Styling
I handle the hair to match the makeup vibe, from slick editorial wet looks to structural updos for traditional shoots. I also assist with jewelry setting and basic draping to ensure every detail of the outfit is positioned correctly for the lens.
