When you book my kids' show, I do not just stand on a stage and do tricks. I bring the kids up to be my assistants. Your birthday child becomes the star of the routine, turning a standard party into a memory they actually participate in, not just watch. It is about getting that 'Wow' moment when they realise they helped make the magic happen.
After 20 years of performing for children, I have learned that the best shows are not about how complex the trick is, but how connected the audience feels. Whether it is a small birthday party in a living room or a large school assembly, my goal is to break the ice and get everyone involved.
I move away from the static, boring performances you might see elsewhere. Instead, I use a mix of comedy, storytelling, and visual illusions like floating tables that leave both kids and adults questioning what they just saw. For birthday parties, I make sure the birthday child is the focus, giving them props to hold and letting them 'cast the spell' for the final trick.
