About Hand-Painted Fridge Magnets
These aren't just prints. Each magnet is a real, tiny painting on canvas, set in a hand-sculpted clay frame I mold myself. I finish every piece with a glossy varnish so it's protected against kitchen humidity, keeping your mini gallery looking fresh and vibrant.
Art You Can Actually Hold
I started painting these magnets because I wanted to take art off the wall and into the daily rhythm of life. We spend so much time in the kitchen, but our fridges are usually covered in boring, plastic advertising magnets. I wanted to change that with something handmade, tactile, and meaningful.
The Process
Every magnet starts as a 4x5 inch canvas board. I use acrylics to paint everything from retro-style food illustrations—like a perfect slice of cheesecake or fresh olives—to little tributes to famous art history pieces.
What makes them unique is the border. I hand-sculpt the frame using air-dry clay, giving each piece a vintage, artisanal look. Once the paint is dry, I seal the entire thing with a high-gloss varnish. This isn't just for shine; it's a practical choice to protect the acrylics from moisture and dust, making them durable enough for daily use.
Why Choose Hand-Painted Magnets?
- Personalized Detail: Whether it's a pet portrait, a favorite snack, or an abstract floral pattern, I can paint it for you.
- Built to Last: The varnish ensures the colors don't fade, even in a busy kitchen.
- The Perfect Gift: They are small, thoughtful, and much more personal than a store-bought souvenir.
If you're looking for a small way to brighten up your space or need a unique gift for a friend, these magnets are a great place to start. They are budget-friendly, fun, and honestly, just make me smile every time I finish a new one.
