The Art of Embroidery
I treat every outfit as a canvas, using intricate hand-embroidery and Zardosi to bring your dream look to life. Let’s create something truly one-of-a-kind together. 😊
A close-up of the custom floral embroidery I designed for a pink Banarasi saree. This kind of detailed threadwork and zardozi is what makes a bespoke piece truly special and luxurious.
This video highlights the delicate white floral embroidery on a bright yellow blouse. I love how the threadwork creates a beautiful texture and contrast, showing my commitment to perfection in every stitch.
The embroidery on this lehenga blouse is a mix of threadwork, beads, and zardozi. I design these intricate patterns to complement the fabric and the overall silhouette of the outfit.
About The Art of Embroidery
My design process blends precise machine embroidery with delicate hand-beaded highlights, which ensures that your outfit isn't just beautiful from afar, but feels premium to the touch. Whether we are working with heavy Zardosi on Banarasi silk or intricate French knots, I personally oversee the stitch density so your embroidery stays flawless.
For me, embroidery is where the magic happens. It is the texture that separates a standard outfit from a bespoke piece of art. After 17 years of working in Mumbai, I have learned that the key to a great garment is how the embroidery interacts with the fabric.
I focus on three specific areas of detail:
- Fabric Integrity: Whether it is delicate organza or sturdy raw silk, I ensure the embroidery technique matches the fabric weight. You never want heavy threadwork pulling on a light base, and I make sure my stitching reinforces the garment rather than weighing it down.
- The Mix: I love combining modern machine precision for consistency with detailed hand-finishing. Hand-beaded highlights, cut-dana work, and sequence placement are what catch the light and make a piece look royal.
- Custom Placement: We decide together where the focus goes. Whether it is a heavily embroidered neckline for a saree blouse or floral motifs on a lehenga skirt, the placement is always designed to complement your silhouette and height.
When you come to my studio, we don't just pick a pattern. We look at how the embroidery will sit against your skin and how it will move. I am a perfectionist, so I obsess over the back-stitch quality, the padding on blouses, and the finishing of tassels. It is those tiny, hidden details that make you feel confident when you step out. Let's make something that is perfectly you. 😊
