For me, embroidery is where the magic happens. It is the texture that separates a standard outfit from a bespoke piece of art. After 17 years of working in Mumbai, I have learned that the key to a great garment is how the embroidery interacts with the fabric.

I focus on three specific areas of detail:

• Fabric Integrity: Whether it is delicate organza or sturdy raw silk, I ensure the embroidery technique matches the fabric weight. You never want heavy threadwork pulling on a light base, and I make sure my stitching reinforces the garment rather than weighing it down.
• The Mix: I love combining modern machine precision for consistency with detailed hand-finishing. Hand-beaded highlights, cut-dana work, and sequence placement are what catch the light and make a piece look royal.
• Custom Placement: We decide together where the focus goes. Whether it is a heavily embroidered neckline for a saree blouse or floral motifs on a lehenga skirt, the placement is always designed to complement your silhouette and height.

When you come to my studio, we don't just pick a pattern. We look at how the embroidery will sit against your skin and how it will move. I am a perfectionist, so I obsess over the back-stitch quality, the padding on blouses, and the finishing of tassels. It is those tiny, hidden details that make you feel confident when you step out.
