Mad O Wot In The Press: India's Greenest Salon
The wait is over and the press is talking. From our sustainable Khar bungalow to our 'Rickshaw Dry' philosophy, here is why our relaunch is making waves.
We were so thrilled to be featured in Midday and Mumbai Mirror for our relaunch. They called us India's "greenest salon," and it meant the world to have our mission for a sustainable, garden-filled space recognized.
More love from the press! This feature highlights our journey to find a space that leaned into sustainability and our use of hand-picked, vegan-friendly products. It's great to see people as excited as we are about a greener approach to beauty.
About As Seen In
When I read the headlines calling us 'India's greenest salon,' it hits different because we actually walk the talk. We didn't just paint the walls green. We built a space that manages its own water, uses recycled furniture, and completely ditches the harsh chemical routine, all while keeping the creative madness alive. It’s a relief to know people are finally noticing that you don't have to ruin the planet to get a great head of hair.
Why The Green Shift Matters
Getting featured in the papers isn't about vanity for me. It’s proof that the industry is ready for a change. After five years away in the Kamshet hills building my dome home, I realized that my salon couldn't go back to business as usual.
We brought that 'green' energy back to Khar. It’s not a buzzword here—it’s operational.
The Bungalow Vibe
People walked past the new bungalow thinking it was a cafe, and honestly, that’s exactly the vibe I wanted. When you come here, you aren't stuck in a sterile chair. You’re in a garden. We use AC water to nourish our plants, we upcycle everything, and we focus on a 'Rickshaw Dry' finish rather than frying your hair with heat styling.
More Than Headlines
These articles mention the 'madness' because that’s who I am. You can be sustainable and still want neon pink hair. You can care about the earth and still want a sharp bob. My work is about proving that sustainability and high-fashion creativity aren't mutually exclusive.
If you're tired of salons that feel like factories, come over. We’ll talk about your hair, we’ll talk about the planet, and we’ll probably end up laughing over chai. The press got the story right—we are different, and that’s the whole point. So, are you ready to get mad?
