High-conversion food photography tailored for platforms like Swiggy and Zomato, focused on crisp textures and clean compositions that drive orders.

A bowl of mutton biryani shot against a vibrant, solid pink background. This modern, high-contrast style is designed to grab attention on crowded food delivery apps.

The same mutton biryani, captured with creative shadow play to add depth and an artistic touch. This variation can be used for social media posts or promotional banners.

This action shot shows a spoonful of biryani being lifted from the bowl, adding a dynamic and engaging element. It helps customers visualize the texture and portion of the dish.

A wooden bowl of paneer butter masala, shot against a clean, neutral grey background. This is a standard product-on-white (POW) style shot, essential for any online menu.

An interactive shot of the paneer masala, with a hand taking a spoonful. This helps convey the texture of the gravy and the softness of the paneer, making the dish more tempting.

A platter of fried chicken appetizers with a side of mint chutney and salad, presented on a white marble board. The clean, light grey background ensures the food is the hero.

About this collection

For delivery apps, your photos are your storefront. I shoot with a standardized lighting setup using professional strobes to ensure every dish—from a greasy biryani to delicate kebabs—retains its texture and appetite appeal on a small smartphone screen. I prioritize real-time tethering so you see exactly what the final file looks like before I pack up the gear, ensuring you get usable, high-resolution results every time.

Precision Lighting for Food Photography

When shooting for delivery menus, the biggest challenge is maintaining consistency across a large volume of items. Whether I am shooting a standard paneer dish or a complex fried appetizer, I use a dedicated studio setup with Godox and Profoto lights. This eliminates inconsistent shadows and highlights, giving your entire menu a uniform, polished look that builds trust with your customers.

The Workflow

  • Tethering: We connect the camera directly to a laptop during the shoot. You see the high-resolution files immediately, allowing us to adjust plating or lighting in real-time. This saves time and ensures the shot is perfect before we move to the next item.
  • Deep Etching: My post-production includes precise background removal. If you need your food items isolated for website banners or dynamic app layouts, I deliver files with clean, professional cutouts.
  • Texture Focus: I use 85mm and 50mm prime lenses on my Nikon Z6. These lenses capture the fine details—the moisture on a kebab, the steam from a biryani, or the garnish on a drink—that make food look fresh rather than flat.

Why it Matters for Your Business

Bad photography is the fastest way to lose a customer on Swiggy or Zomato. Users scroll quickly; they decide in milliseconds whether a dish looks fresh. By styling for impact—using textures like wooden boards and marble, combined with thoughtful plating—I make your food the hero of the frame. You get a library of high-resolution JPEGs optimized for the web, ready for immediate upload to your listings.
