Step inside our Sahakarnagar studio. See how we balance safety, soft lighting, and careful prop setup to capture those dreamy, calm newborn portraits.

This is my go to beanbag setup. You will learn how to stretch the fabric perfectly, use clamps for a smooth surface, and position your main light and reflector to get that soft, even lighting on the baby.

A look at the full studio setup process. From positioning the main light stand to arranging the backdrop, I'll walk you through each step to prepare for a newborn session.

See the shot before you take it. This video shows a glimpse of the final image on the camera's LCD screen, demonstrating how the lighting and setup come together to create the portrait.

Family portraits require a different lighting approach. Learn how to set up your lights to properly illuminate the parents and the newborn together against a simple, dark backdrop for a classic look.

For toddler and pre-birthday shoots, the setup needs to be engaging. Here, I used a miniature piano and a clean background to create a fun and stylish portrait for a one year old.

About Studio Workflow: Lighting & Setup

Before we even pick up the camera, the studio prep begins. We spend time sterilizing every wrap and positioning the beanbag specifically to ensure the baby stays secure. Our lighting setup is fixed for softness, meaning we don't need harsh flashes that could startle the little one. It is all about creating a calm, predictable space where the baby feels safe enough to drift off to sleep.
