About this collection
These sessions require a calm environment, so I usually book them for mornings when your little one is well-rested. I handle all the prop setup, including the traditional pots, peacock feathers, and floral accents, so all you need to bring is the outfit and your patience.
My approach to these heritage portraits is to create images that look and feel like classic paintings. The Yashoda and Krishna theme is close to my heart, as it allows us to step away from modern setups and focus on a story that is rich in tradition and meaning.
The Fine Art Process
Every element in these portraits is intentional. I use authentic textures, soft lighting, and carefully selected props to ensure the focus remains entirely on the connection between you and your child. We incorporate symbolic elements—like lotus petals, brass utensils, and vibrant peacock feathers—to bring the scene to life. Because these sets are elaborate, I dedicate extra time before the shoot to prepare the background and adjust the lighting to match your child's temperament.
Preparing for Your Session
- Timing is key: I recommend scheduling these sessions when your baby is naturally happy, usually after a good nap.
- Wardrobe guidance: Traditional attire, such as silk pattu pavadai for girls or dhoti sets for boys, works best. Keep jewelry minimal for safety and comfort.
- Comfort first: If your baby is crawling or walking, we keep the shoot playful and unscripted. We let them explore the props, which often results in the most genuine expressions.
Whether you are planning this for a festival like Janmashtami or simply want to capture this stage of childhood through a traditional lens, my studio in Yelahanka is fully equipped to handle these themes. We keep the atmosphere light and stress-free, ensuring the result is not just a photo, but a piece of art you will treasure for years.
