About Artificial Green Walls
I don't just stick plastic mats on walls. My team cleans the background, paints it dark to create depth, and mixes leaf textures like ferns and grasses so the wall looks like a natural garden rather than a repetitive pattern. You get the look of a forest without needing a watering can.
If you want a green aesthetic but don't have the sunlight or the time to maintain live plants, artificial vertical gardens are the practical fix. I focus on creating walls that don't look fake or flat.
Why my artificial walls last:
- Surface Prep: I always prep the wall surface first. We paint the background dark to ensure depth, which prevents the base wall from peeking through the gaps.
- Texture Mixing: I avoid the cheap, standard look by mixing high-density artificial plant mats (60-80 tips per tile). We blend different foliage types like ferns, grasses, and broad-leaf shrubs to mimic how plants actually grow.
- Durability: The materials I use are UV-treated PVC and PE. They resist dust and fading for 5 to 7 years in indoor environments.
Installation Process:
Whether it’s a reception desk backdrop, a balcony wall, or a full two-story office feature, the process is consistent. We mount a wire mesh or plywood base to level the surface, then secure the mats. Everything is fluffed by hand to maximize volume before we finish.
