Travel & Paint Murals: Telling India's Stories on Walls
I turn public spaces into canvases. My Travel & Paint tour is about finding the soul of a community and leaving behind a piece of their story in vibrant, permanent colour.
The first stop on my 'Travel & Paint India Tour' was the beautiful land of Coorg. This reel captures the entire journey, from finding the wall and collaborating with a local NGO to interacting with the community and bringing their story to life.
This was my 'Baba & the Bird' mural in Jaipur. It became a symbol of patience and connection. Though walls are temporary, the stories they tell and the connections they create live on forever. This piece was a milestone in my journey as a travel artist.
Speaking with local media in Coorg about my street art tour. It was wonderful to share my mission of depicting local culture and collaborating with NGOs like Mind and Matter to beautify public spaces and tell community stories.
I was so grateful to be featured on the Kodagu Channel for our mural initiative in Coorg. This project was about more than just paint; it was about introducing street art to the city and supporting the wonderful work of the Mind and Matter Charitable Trust.
About this collection
People often ask how I pick a wall. It is not just about the physical space—it is about the energy. Before I pick up a brush, I spend time talking to the locals, eating with them, and understanding the specific 'vibe' of the street or venue. If you are looking for a mural that truly reflects your brand or neighborhood, we need to start with that conversation. My process is inhale, absorb, marinate, and exhale; it is not just painting, but a practice of listening to the story first.
My Approach to Storytelling
Every project starts with a blank slate and an intention. Whether I am painting a 200 sq ft commercial wall in a metro city or working with an NGO in a quiet town like Coorg, my goal remains the same: to catch a vibe and turn it into art.
The Process
- Consultation: We define the brand messaging or community story. For commercial projects, this includes three rounds of digital sketches and color palette approvals.
- Execution: I typically dedicate 3 to 5 days to a commercial mural project. This includes wall priming, high-quality exterior emulsion work, and a final clear coat varnish to ensure the art survives the elements.
- Support: I never work alone. I travel with professional mural assistants to ensure the site remains clean and the timeline is respected.
What I Bring to Your Space My work is not about decoration. It is about impact. I have collaborated with brands like Amazon Prime Video and NBA 2K to bring their vision to life through street art. I also reserve part of my time for 'sewa' (service)—painting murals for NGOs where I can help give back to the community.
Practical Details
- Materials: I use professional-grade acrylics and imported spray paints.
- Deliverables: You receive full commercial usage rights, and for large projects, I provide raw time-lapse footage of the creation process for your social media.
- Reach: My studio is wherever the story is. I travel across India for projects, bringing my easel and my colors to your doorstep.
