How Your Keychain Comes Together
Every piece I make is a hybrid of two crafts I love: delicate embroidery and sturdy macrame. I start with a 1.5 to 2 inch wooden hoop, which serves as the canvas for your hand-stitched initial, flower, or quirky icon. I use off-white cotton fabric for a clean, natural background that makes the colored threads pop.
For the tail, I use soft cotton cord, hand-knotting it into chevron or diamond patterns before combing out the fringe for that perfect bohemian finish. Each one is finished with durable zinc alloy hardware in silver or gold tones, and I include both a split ring for your keys and a lobster clasp so you can easily clip it onto your bag.
