Choosing an outdoor session means working with the unpredictability of light, which is exactly why I schedule these shoots during the golden hour. Whether we are at a Mumbai beach or a quiet garden, I guide you on movement and posing to ensure the wind, the gown, and the sunlight all come together to create those fluid, dreamlike portraits you see in my gallery.
Outdoor maternity photography relies heavily on timing. I typically plan these sessions for the golden hour, just after sunrise or right before sunset, when the light is softest and most flattering for your pregnancy glow. In and around Mumbai, we have access to stunning locations ranging from the serene coastlines of Juhu and Versova to the lush, quiet greenery of various city parks.
Preparing for your Outdoor Session
If you choose an outdoor session, we usually pack light but bring key accessories like a shawl or a backup outfit just in case. I carry specialized props like chalkboards, balloons for gender reveals, or even angel wings if you want that whimsical touch to your photos.
Location Logistics
If we are shooting at a beach, keep in mind that tide schedules play a role in where we can stand safely. I take care of the location scouting, but I love it when you suggest a spot that holds personal meaning for you. Whether you want to include your partner, older children, or even your dog, outdoor shoots offer the space and freedom to move, laugh, and simply be yourself.
