About Glimpses from the Gigs
It is never just about playing a tracklist. When I am behind the console, I am constantly reading the dance floor to decide when to drop a 90s Bollywood throwback or switch to a heavy Bolly-Techno bassline, all while syncing live visuals to keep the room hooked.
Every gig has its own personality, and these photos are a look into that journey. Whether I am playing at Gypsy Tower or Boho in Koramangala, the goal remains the same: create a vibe that makes the crowd lose it.
My Approach to the Gig
I don't just show up to play music. I am a VDJ, which means I bring a full audio-visual experience. I use high-definition music videos, custom loops, and motion graphics that sync with my beats on the big screen. When you see the red lights, the smoke from the CO2 gun, and a packed floor, that is the environment I work to build.
What Happens Behind the Decks
- Live Mashups: You will hear my signature 'KG Flips'—I mash up Kannada classics with international tracks on the fly. It is about unexpected sounds that hit different.
- Crowd Reading: I am always on the mic, acting as the bridge between the music and the floor. If a throwback track starts a singalong, I lean into it. If the energy drops, I switch up the genre instantly.
- Setup: I travel with my laptop running specialized VJ software to ensure the visuals are as crisp as the audio. I use the venue's setup for the sound, but my own gear for the visual rendering and live mixing, making sure the transition from track to track is seamless.
Whether it is a high-energy club night or a private party, my focus is on the floor. If people are dancing, the night is a success. Let’s make that happen at your next event.
