Engagement and Pre-Wedding Photography Stories
The celebration begins long before the wedding day. I focus on capturing the raw excitement of your engagement and Roka ceremonies through candid, narrative storytelling.
An elegant and formal portrait of the couple for their Roka ceremony. Her intricate lehenga and his classic sherwani are beautifully captured in this poised and graceful shot.
A fun and spontaneous moment of the groom pushing his laughing bride on a luggage cart. This playful shot perfectly captures the couple's fun-loving spirit and the joy of their wedding journey.
A stunning full-body portrait of the bride in her colorful sharara. The elegant pose and soft lighting beautifully showcase her unique and stylish pre-wedding outfit.
An artistic and intimate black and white portrait. The couple is framed in a circle of light, creating a unique composition that feels like a secret, stolen moment from their engagement shoot.
A classic portrait with a touch of affection. The groom stands behind his seated bride, his hand gently on her shoulder, creating a sense of love and support.
A classic black and white portrait of the groom. His relaxed smile and elegant sherwani are captured beautifully in this timeless and sophisticated shot.
A moody and elegant portrait of the bride in her Roka lehenga. The dramatic lighting creates beautiful shadows, highlighting the texture of her outfit and her serene expression.
The couple walks hand-in-hand down a brightly lit corridor. This shot captures a sense of journey and partnership, a perfect metaphor for their new life together.
A close-up black and white shot of hands during a ritual. The sparkling details and the focus on the action create an intimate and artistic view of the ceremony.
A wide, architectural shot of the couple. The modern setting and dramatic lighting create a stylish and contemporary portrait that feels both grand and intimate.
About Engagement & Pre-Wedding Stories
The biggest challenge couples face before the camera is the stiff, 'what do I do with my hands' feeling. I solve this by ignoring the camera entirely during our pre-wedding shoots. We start with a conversation or a walk until you forget I am even there. That is when the real, unguarded chemistry comes out, not when I tell you to hold a fake pose.
Your engagement or Roka ceremony is the first chapter of your wedding story. It is usually the first time we work together, and it sets the rhythm for the main event. My goal is to capture the anticipation, the shy smiles, and the laughter that happens when you are surrounded by close family and friends.
Why focus on pre-wedding photography?
Many couples treat the pre-wedding shoot just as a way to get photos for invitations. I see it differently. It is your practice run. It gives us a few hours to find your comfort zone. Whether you choose a quiet indoor setting in Indore or a destination shoot, I prioritize your natural personality over rigid directions.
My approach to engagement ceremonies:
- Candid focus: I am constantly looking for the in-between moments—a mother wiping a tear during the Roka, or a groom teasing his bride.
- Natural lighting: I rely on natural light whenever possible to keep the mood warm and honest.
- Authenticity: If someone is running late or a prop falls over, I keep shooting. Those chaotic moments often make the most memorable stories.
I travel across India for destination pre-wedding shoots. If you have a location in mind that reflects your journey, let me know. We can plan a session that feels less like a production and more like a day out.
