Is it a Vada Pav or a cake? I love crafting these illusions that surprise your guests and taste like a dream. Every design, from KFC buckets to whiskey bottles, is 100% edible, eggless, and built to survive Mumbai traffic.

It's finger-lickin' good, and it's also a cake! This is my fully edible KFC bucket cake, made for a huge fan. The "chicken" is made from cake and a crunchy coating, and the bucket is also part of the cake.

Would you prefer a slice of pizza or a slice of cake? This realistic-looking pizza is actually a chocolate truffle cake. I used cream and minimal fondant to create all the toppings, and it was decorated in just 20 minutes.

Another angle of my hyper-realistic Vada Pav cake, this time on a wood-textured cake stand. It's a butterscotch cake inside, but it looks just like the real spicy snack.

A "tutti frutti" two-tier cake, where the tiers themselves look like a pineapple and a watermelon. The cake is adorned with a variety of hand-molded, edible fruits.

A giant cupcake with an anti-gravity M&M's spill. This fun design is perfect for a candy lover and features a Tiramisu cake inside.

A zero-fondant Jack Daniel's bottle cake, carved and airbrushed to look like the real thing. This was a chocolate truffle cake for a 60th birthday celebration.

I've made this hyper-realistic Vada Pav cake a few times, and I'm starting to think it's easier to make the real thing! This one was for a client who has a deep love for the iconic Mumbai snack.

About Hyper-Realistic & Food-Themed Cakes

People often worry that highly detailed, realistic cakes sacrifice taste for visuals. I keep fondant to an absolute minimum, focusing instead on sharp-edge ganache and buttercream techniques so you get a cake that looks like a sculpture but tastes like a premium dessert.

Creating a hyper-realistic cake is essentially engineering with sugar. Whether I am carving a Vada Pav, a KFC bucket, or a bottle of spirits, the goal is always the same: it must look real enough to trick the eye, but taste like a proper, delicious cake.

I use internal dowels and food-safe supports to keep these gravity-defying designs stable, especially because they need to withstand Navi Mumbai’s unpredictable traffic and humidity during delivery. Many of these designs rely on airbrushing and hand-texturing rather than thick layers of sugar paste, which gives you that visual 'wow' factor without the plasticky, overly sweet aftertaste.

If you have a specific object or favourite food you want recreated, let me know. We can discuss the structural feasibility and which flavour profile works best for the shape you are dreaming of. Every piece is baked fresh, entirely eggless, and designed to be the centrepiece of your celebration.

I'm Trupti, and I believe every cake is a story. I’m obsessed with the challenge of turning an idea—like a Vada Pav or a bottle of whiskey—into a delicious, fully edible masterpiece.
