Building a champion starts with the basics. Whether it is your child's first time holding a racket or you are ready to learn the game, we focus on foundation, discipline, and movement.

For my junior players, back running is a fundamental footwork drill. It is very important for their foundation as it helps them move quickly to the baseline, maintain balance, and get into the correct position for overhead shots.

A look back at where it all started for some of my students. From their first drills to playing competitive matches, it's a long journey. I focus on building their skills step by step, with lots of encouragement along the way.

About Building Future Stars: Kids & Beginners

For our juniors, success on the court is not about raw talent, it is about 'mehnat' (hard work) on the basics. We do not rush into smashes. Instead, we spend time on the 'why' behind every movement, like why back running matters for balance or how to hold the V-grip properly. It is normal to feel frustrated when the shuttle does not go where you want it to, but that is exactly when we build patience. If we fix your footwork now, your game will be solid for years.

Building the Right Foundation

Coaching at the beginner level is where players are made or broken. My approach to 'Kids & Beginners' badminton training is simple: we start with the fundamentals, then add the fun.

When training children from age 4 to 6, I do not just teach them how to swing a racket. We focus on coordination through ladder drills and back-running techniques. These are crucial for building the balance needed to reach deep shots without losing form. We use standard Nylon shuttles (Yonex Mavis) to ensure consistency as students develop their 'panhandle' and 'V-grips'.

Why Our Training is Different

  • Technical Precision: We do not skip the boring stuff. Grip mastery and the 'Movement Cycle'—start, approach, hit, recover—are repeated until they become second nature.
  • Focus on Fundamentals: We use static feeding drills to correct posture early. This prevents bad habits that are difficult to unlearn later.
  • Holistic Development: Even for beginners, fitness is non-negotiable. Every session includes light agility work, core strengthening, and meditation to keep the mind sharp.
  • Expert Oversight: While I oversee the curriculum, our sessions are led by SAI-certified assistant coaches who maintain a 10:1 student-to-coach ratio. This ensures every student gets personal feedback, not just group instruction.

Training Locations

We run these programs at professional indoor facilities in Delhi—Vasant Kunj, Lodhi Road, and Saket. These courts feature BWF-approved synthetic mats on wooden floors, which is essential for protecting young joints during high-impact movement. If you are looking for serious practice in a disciplined environment, this is where we work.
