About Homie: For The Old School Heads
I do not play a generic playlist. You get a 4-hour set of 90s and 2000s hip-hop and R&B. Strictly no Bollywood or EDM here. To make the sound hit right, I require a standard industry console like a Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 or 3000 at your venue.
My 'Homie' nights are about pure nostalgia. These are the tracks we used to turn up to, the songs we know by heart. My sets are interactive, aimed at bringing people together rather than just playing music. I focus on the groove and the energy. Whether it is a private gig or a club night in Mumbai or Pune, the priority is keeping that old school hip-hop culture alive. You won't find radio hits or forced commercial tracks in my mix. You get the real roots of the music.
